How To Play Superslots Stud Poker

The basic premise of Stud poker is that you are playing a kind of short hand poker against the dealer. It uses the same number of cards as straight poker but the differences is that unlike any other kind of poker you are dealt all 5ive cards at once, and have to bet that you can make a hand that is better than the dealer's.

Placing an ANTE

The Stud poker table is very similar to the Blackjack table, with five playing positions and circles in front of each player where players place their ANTE.

Before you can receive your first cards you need to make an ante. When you do this you will be dealt 5 cards. Once you get your five cards you can decide if you think that your cards are good enough to beat the dealers. You do this by making another bet.

Folding

If you do not make another bet you fold your cards and lose your initial Ante.

Progressive Bets

You can place a progressive bet on any hand you have placed an 'ANTE' bet on.

The Deal

After placing an 'ANTE' bet and optionally a progressive bet, each of the player's hands is dealt five cards face up. The Dealer is also dealt five cards but only one card is face up. Based on the strength of your hand and on the value of the dealer's face up card you must decide whether to increase your bet to maximize your winnings - 'CALL' or to minimize your losses - 'FOLD'.

In Progressive Caribbean Stud Poker, no additional cards are dealt. The player and the dealer compare hands formed from their five cards.

Objective

In SuperSlots Stud Poker, the dealer's hand has to contain at least one ace and one king in order to qualify. If the dealer's hand does not qualify, you receive 1 to 1 on your ante and your bet is returned to you without winnings.

If the dealer's hand does qualify with a value of at least one ace and one king, the best hand wins. Your winning hand receives 1 to 1 on the ante plus the winnings on your bet calculated according to the winnings table.

If the dealer's hand does not have a minimum poker combination of an ace-king the dealer fails to qualify. If this occurs the game is over. Your bet is returned to you together with double your 'Ante' regardless of the value of your cards.

If the dealer's hand has a lower poker combination then your hand, you win twice your 'Ante' and you are paid out on your 'Bet' according to the paytable.

Even if the dealer does not qualify you always win on your progressive bet.

If both the dealer's and player's hands tie, the party with the next highest-ranking card is the winner. And in the highly unlikely event of a total tie, the player will get all of their money back. I should note that in all of my years in the casino business I have never seen an absolute tie. Such an event is highly improbable. It's so rare, in fact, that one would think that a prize would be attached for getting one. But alas that's not how the game is played. If you do ever manage to get a total tie however, although you don't get a special prize, the bragging rights are just about the best reward you could ever get for such a thing.

What to Watch Out For

It's very important that you always stay on top of the paytable when it comes to stud poker. Although it is rare for a casino to change their payout structure, it does occasionally happen, and if id does you should make sure you know about it. Also if you are new to the game it might be a good idea to write down both the payable and the card values before you start. That way you won't have to keep going back to the help menu during your game, and best of all, the act of writing the information down will help implant it right into your memory.
